The Synergy of Integrative Medicine

As New Yorkers, many patients are looking to maximize their time doing self-care by consolidating appointments during the work week. For patients seeking an integrative approach to their healthcare, I offer acupuncture alongside physical therapists, massage therapists and performance coaching at my office. Because we exceptional practitioners work together on a synergistic team, we see patient outcomes multiply.

The doctors of PT at Symbio are proficient at treating anyone who wants to move better, including triathletes, marathon runners, dancers and all types of movers. Their areas of expertise are running assessments/bike fitting, cupping, and a variety of manual therapy approaches or hands-on release of fascial or muscular tension. A huge component of why patients I co-treat see dramatically better improvement with Symbio PT over past PT experiences is that each Symbio treatment is one-on-one for 45 minutes, in contrast to others that see multiple people at once. This focused time allows them to get to the root of structural imbalances much more efficiently and effectively. Each physical therapist at Symbio is also available for personal training by exercise prescription and instruction. They motivate clients by setting goals, providing feedback and accountability and measuring their client’s strengths and weaknesses with fitness assessments.

For additional skilled hands-on services, a licensed massage therapist is available on Mondays and Fridays at my office for sports and medical massage. This differs from a spa massage that might be relaxing at the time, but yields little to no lasting benefit. He is trained to target muscular knots and adhesions to alleviate pain and dysfunction in these areas through deep tissue pressure.

Finally, if you are looking for that extra edge to become more focused, productive, influential, and successful, Dr. Chad Woodard is now available for one-on-one High Performance Coaching both in person and remotely. These sessions provide strategies that the world’s most accomplished and influential people use to manage their emotions, schedule their days, persuade others, and keep their passions and purpose clear and alive. While pain and physical dysfunction are certainly limiting, if you struggle from time to time with stagnation not on a purely physical plane, performance coaching might be just what the doctor ordered.
